Re-Assessments:

The cost of re-assessment for any category is £95.00 per half day.

Payments:

Payment must be made either by cash/cheque/credit card. Bookings made at short notice must be paid for at the time of booking.

If payment has not been received by the training or assessment date then the candidate will not be allowed to participate.

Cancellation / Postponement :

If the applicant is unable to attend on the agreed dates he/she must inform the centre in writing (post/fax at least 14 days before the assessment. This will allow the applicant to change his/her booking to an agreed alternative.

CHSL retains the right to move or postpone any missed training or assessment to any date convenient to the Centre’s Administration. Should the applicant be unable to attend for medical reasons, which occur during the 14 days prior to the assessment, CHSL will allow the applicant to re-book an alternative date as agreed by CHSL. Applicants are required to provide proof of a Private Medical Certificate to authenticate the reason for non-attendance.

Expiry:

All gas and oil assessment qualifications are valid for five years.

Certification and Registration:

Successful candidates are issued with certificates from Logic Certification or NIC Certification (as appropriate) - approximately 8 weeks from date of assessment (unless additional elements are to follow).

Individuals can opt for a fast-track certification service at an additional cost  – enabling the certification paperwork to be processed within 5 working days. Due to the additional administration, individuals must request this service prior to the completion of their assessment.

Logic Cerification will notify CORGI of the operatives competence but it is the individual's own responsibility to register with CORGI. Completion of the ACS assessments does not guarantee CORGI registration.

 Assessments:

Assessments are divided into theoretical and practical sections. Reference books supplied may be referred to during the theory open book sections. Manufacturer’s instructions are provided to assist with the practical elements. Partial re-assessments of the areas in which the candidate has been found to be Not Yet Competent must be taken within 90 days of the date of the initial assessment.

For the duration of the 90 days, the other areas in which competence has been proven will remain valid. Proving competence by re-assessment in the remaining areas will result in the candidate being recommended for certification.
